Adopt a Soldier
You and your family, small group, or ministry can adopt one of 40 soldiers in the Army Reserve 407th Civil Affairs Battalion. The 407th, headquartered directly across from the North Heights Arden Hills campus, will deploy more than 60 troops to Afghanistan this year for nation-building. They will construct schools, hospitals, and infrastructure. The soldiers, more than 40, are open to receiving your prayers and tangible support through care packages. Do you want your veteran to be honored?
Attend the annual Fourth of July "We the People . . . A Freedom Celebration," at the Arden Hills campus, where veterans may participate in the Parade of Honor. Do you want your deploying or returning service member to be recognized and prayed for in one of our worship services?

Do you have a deployed service member and need light home maintenance?
Contact the local Military Family Assistance Center (FAC) at 651-282-4054. FACs are dispersed throughout Minnesota and are open to all branches of the military. They assist service members who are currently serving, or have served since 9/11/2001, and their families. FACs are confidential and provide information and referrals to services and resources. They can connect you with volunteers from the North Heights on-call service team which can provide a variety of repair services. To find the FAC nearest you, visit www.BeyondTheYellowRibbon.org.
